Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a travel assignment in Jamaica, NY. The position covers a 14-week duration, 35 hours per week, with day shifts and seven-hour blocks, requiring ARRT(N) certification and a year of experience.

You will prepare radiopharmaceuticals, perform imaging, operate scanners, and ensure safety protocols. The role includes patient positioning, documentation, and adherence to radiation safety standards, under radiologist supervision.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
• BLS certification and ARRT (N) or NMTCB-CNMT with state licensure where required.
• Proficient in radiopharmaceutical preparation and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Attain required approval and signature by nuclear medicine physicians.
• Transfer, position, and instruct patients in preparation for procedures.
• Operate the scanner or gamma scintillation camera.
• Perform procedures including injecting radiopharmaceuticals under the direct supervision of a radiologist.
• Provide assistance to patients during procedures.
• Ensure the environment is safe at all times for patients and staff by following safety and radiation disposal procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
