We're looking for a Travel Nuc Med Tech in the Healthcare Systems and Services industry in New York, United States.

Pay Rate: $2600 weekly gross

In this role, the successful candidate will function as an MI SPECT Technologist, performing examinations of patients of all ages to assist in diagnosing illnesses and serving as a training resource.

This is a travel role—assigned to top-quality placements on 3-12 month contracts, with weekly per diem in addition to your pay.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform MI SPECT diagnostic imaging procedures according to department protocols.
2. Locate and record internal body elements, identifying anomalies indicating disease or injury.
3. Adjust equipment and calm patients to eliminate artifacts.
4. Monitor patients for physical and emotional changes.
5. Evaluate test results for clarity and accuracy.
6. Review tests with peers and physicians.
7. Inform physicians of preliminary findings as needed.
8. Distribute test results to physicians and service providers.
9. Prepare diagnostic information for interpretation.
10. Maintain patient charts, enter diagnosis and billing codes, and update data systems.
11. Clean and sterilize equipment and workspace.
12. Recognize equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs.
13. Instruct patients in pretest preparation, answer questions, and explain procedures.
14. Perform additional duties as required.
