Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift NICU RN for a 13-week assignment at a Level 4 NICU in a 60-bed pediatric hospital in California. CA RN license is required, with 2+ years of Level 4 NICU experience or strong Level 3 surgical background.

Active CA license in hand or ETA, BLS and Advanced NRP required; PALS preferred. Night shifts typically 19:00–7:00 with rotation, and floating to satellite NICUs and other units as needed. Travel reimbursements provided.

Qualifications

• CA RN license required in hand or acceptable ETA for pending license
• Current BLS and Advanced NRP certification required
• PALS certification preferred
• 2+ years of Level 4 NICU experience required
• Strong Level 3 NICU experience with surgical/cardiac background considered
• Experience with oscillators, ventilators, CPAP, lines, and high-acuity neonatal care

Responsibilities

• Level 4 NICU setting at a 60-bed children's hospital
• Night shift 19:00–7:00 with possible day shifts; rotating schedule
• Weekend availability with full scheduling flexibility
• Floating within scope to PICU, CTICU, and Med Surg; satellite NICU locations
• Use Epic charting system; care for high-acuity neonates
• Provide ventilator support and manage IV therapies and central lines
• Attend high-risk deliveries and post-delivery care as needed
• Involve in care for GI conditions and post-surgical needs
• Travel reimbursement for floating to locations outside home base
• Scrubs of any color permitted; travel and licensure reimbursements
