Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a NICU travel RN for a 13-week assignment in Washington, DC. You will provide specialized care to critically ill newborns in a NICU, operate life-support equipment, and support families through education and involvement in care decisions.

The role requires RN licensure in DC, at least 1 year of NICU experience, and current BLS and NRP certifications. Travel, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits accompany this assignment.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a neonatal intensive care RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and monitors critically ill and premature neonates, documenting conditions and responses.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments per neonatal nursing standards.
• Performs neonatal assessments, including vital signs and weight checks.
• Operates NICU equipment such as ventilators and CPAP machines.
• Educates families on neonatal care and developmental needs.
• Collaborates with neonatology and allied teams to implement care plans.
