Job summary

TotalMed RN seeks a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) travel nurse for a 13‑week assignment in Washington, DC. The RN will provide critical care to sick or premature infants, monitor vitals, and support families alongside a diverse care team in a fast‑paced NICU setting.

The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience, 12‑hour rotating shifts, and a travel employment type. Expect exposure to complex neonatal therapies and collaborative patient care across shifts.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' recent acute care experience preferred.
• Neonatal ICU experience is desirable.
• Current RN license and applicable certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for sick and premature neonates in NICU.
• Monitor vital signs and adjust treatment as needed.
• Administer specialized feedings and nutrition support.
• Manage IV therapy, catheters, and device care.
• Monitor equipment like incubators and ventilators and respond to alarms.
