Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a travel nurse RN in NICU for a 13-week assignment in Omaha, NE. Start ASAP. 36 hours per week, 12-hour days. Travel employment with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

The NICU RN provides specialized care to critically ill and premature newborns, operates life-support equipment, and collaborates with the care team to ensure high-quality patient-centered outcomes. Requires NICU experience and active RN license.

Qualifications

• One year of recent NICU RN experience.
• Current RN license compliant with state regulations.
• BLS certification currently active.
• NRP certification current.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill and premature neonates in NICU.
• Administer prescribed NICU medications and treatments.
• Perform neonatal assessments and vital signs checks.
• Operate NICU equipment (ventilators, CPAP, infusion pumps).
• Assist with procedures (umbilical line, intubation) as needed.
• Educate families on neonatal care and feeding techniques.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with the team.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards.
