Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level III or higher NICU night shift position in Illinois requiring EPIC and Trauma 1 experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Level III or higher Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) within a hospital setting
• Primary patient population includes critically ill neonates
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Use EPIC electronic medical record system; prior EPIC experience is required
• No local candidates allowed within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Perform comprehensive assessments, develop and adjust care plans, and document care for neonatal patients
• Monitor intake and output of assigned neonates and assist with breastfeeding and baby-friendly care
• Administer medications using bar code scanning protocol
• Report on patients during multidisciplinary rounds
• Team-oriented work environment with regular communication and peer collaboration
• No travel partners accepted for this assignment
• Time off not to exceed 7 days during a 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not work more than 1 year continuously and must take a 6-month break before returning

Requirements
