Job summary

FutureSoft Consulting Inc seeks an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) with NICU experience for a 14-week travel assignment in Salinas, California. The role focuses on evaluating and treating medically complex infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, requiring pediatric and neonatal clinical expertise.

Candidates must have at least 3 years of OT experience, including 1 year NICU exposure, plus an active California OT license, a Master's degree in OT, and current AHA BLS.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Active California OT license.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum 3 years of Occupational Therapy experience.
• Minimum 1 year of NICU Occupational Therapy experience.
• Strong neonatal assessment and treatment skills.
• Ability to work in a high-acuity NICU environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate premature and medically complex infants in the NICU.
• Assess neonatal motor development, positioning, tone, sensory responses, and functional abilities.
• Develop individualized OT treatment plans based on infant needs.
• Provide developmentally appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Support infant positioning, handling, movement, and neuromotor development.
• Educate parents and caregivers regarding positioning, milestones, and home care.
