ARMStaffing seeks a Travel Nurse RN Stepdown for Morgantown, West Virginia. Join our Neuroscience Inpatient Step Down Unit, caring for higher-acuity neuro patients in a 31-bed unit. This 13-week contract includes three 12-hour night shifts (7 PM–7:30 AM).

Travel assignments may require weekend/holiday coverage. Competitive pay, housing and travel stipends are available. Active RN license with BLS and NIHSS required; EPIC charting experience preferred.

• BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience in neuro care or stepdown nursing is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential care to neuro stepdown patients, including those with EVDs, post-TPA care, and stroke management.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage IV drips as ordered.
• Work with physicians and RT to manage respiratory care on the unit.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and health maintenance.

Night Shift Registered Nurse - Neuro Stepdown & EMUSchedule

This is a 13-week contract position with a schedule of three 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. Flexibility is required as travelers may need to work weekends and holidays as part of the rotation.

Job Description

Join our dedicated team in the Neuroscience Inpatient Step Down Unit, where we provide specialized care for higher acuity neuroscience patients. This unit consists of 31 total beds, with a focus on step-down and epilepsy monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential care to neuro stepdown patients, including those with EVDs, post-TPA care, and stroke management.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage intravenous drips as per physician orders.
• Work collaboratively with physicians and RT in managing respiratory care on the unit.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and health maintenance.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license and ability to submit for licensure in the state.
• Certification in BLS and NIHSS is required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience in neuro care or stepdown nursing is essential.
• Previous use of EPIC charting system is required.
