Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• 18+ months of recent experience in an Acute Care Neuro ICU setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage care of adult Neuro ICU patients requiring complex assessment and high-intensity therapies.
• Provide patient care and family education and support.
• Ensure proper functioning of life-support equipment such as ventilators and feeding tubes.
• Monitor heart rate, blood pressure and respiration for signs of distress; administer medications and insert catheters as needed.
• Meticulous documentation of medication administration.
