Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Neuro ICU RN for a 16-bed unit in Virginia. The role features a 1:2 patient‑nurse ratio with night shifts (7pm–7am) and no on‑call requirements. You will work on a 16-bed Neuro ICU with two clinical techs and Philips telemetry.

Requirements include an active VA or Compact RN license, BLS/ACLS certifications, and a minimum of 2 years of recent critical care experience. Epic EMR experience is required.

Qualifications

• Active VA or compact RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Neuro ICU experience helpful for high-acuity care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed Neuro ICU.
• Manage titratable and set-rate drips (norepinephrine, epinephrine, vasopressin, phenylephrine, dopamine).
• RN reads telemetry strips without monitor techs; operates Philips telemetry monitors.
• Night shift 7pm–7am with every other weekend.
• Holiday coverage for major and minor holidays.
• Floating to MSICU/PCCU as needed.
