Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an MRI Technologist for a night shift at a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital. Requires 2+ years MRI experience, ARRT MR or R, BLS, and WV license active by start date. Travel assignment with housing and licensure support is offered.

The role features a 4x10 hour schedule (night shifts), a shared workload, and a non-on-call policy. Expect outpatient, inpatient, and ER exposure, with extensive MRI procedures and charting in Cerner and Fuji Synapse.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of registered MRI experience.
• BLS certification required.
• ARRT MR or ARRT R certification required.
• WV State License active by start date (license pending accepted).
• IV starts required.
• PACS and contrast experience preferred.
• Experience in outpatient, inpatient and ER settings.
• MRI procedures: Abdomen, Pelvis, Head/Neck, Spine, MSK.
• Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital experience preferred.
• Two manager/charge references from within the past 2 years required.

Responsibilities

• Night shift, 4x10 hours, Sunday-Thursday, 22:30-7:00 (with some 12-hour variations).
• MRI department with one Philips scanner.
• Average caseload 20–25 patients per 24 hours, shared departmentally.
• Techs never work alone.
• Some weekend shifts required.
• No on-call requirement.
• No floating to sister facilities required.
• Charting via Cerner and Fuji Synapse.
• Facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center and major teaching hospital (COTH).
• 855 staffed beds.
• Scrub color: Caribbean Blue.
• Free parking for travelers.
• Flu vaccine required in flu season; COVID not required.
• First-time travelers accepted if MRI registered with 2+ years experience.
• No RTO restrictions.
• Locals accepted; 75–99 miles case-by-case.
• Former permanent employees must wait 2 years after last permanent work date.
• Current Vandalia Health System employees are not eligible for travel contracts.
