Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift MRI Technologist with 2+ years experience and Siemens scanner proficiency required for consideration.

The role includes operating two 1.5T Siemens Aera scanners, performing neuro/MSK/abdominal scans and specialty exams, and adhering to Epic EMR workflows. Night shifts are 3x12 hours with weekend and holiday call requirements, travel readiness, and specific facility-distance rules.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years MRI Technologist experience (1.5 years considered with strong Level I/large hospital background).
• Experience with Siemens scanners required.
• ARRT or NMTCB certification required.
• BLS certification preferred.
• Epic charting experience required.
• License required if applicable.
• Cardiac experience strongly preferred.
• IV starts strongly preferred.
• Trauma Level I, teaching hospital, and community hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• MRI unit with (2) 1.5T Siemens Aera scanners.
• Performs neuro, MSK, and abdominal scans along with specialty exams including breast, enterography, and pacemaker patients.
• Does not perform cardiac, prostate, CSF flow studies, MSA extremities, or conscious sedation.
• ICU patients scanned regularly using MRI-safe ventilator, IVAC, and monitoring equipment.
• Uses Epic EMR.
• 3x12 hour night shifts from 1800-0630.
• Every third weekend and holidays as assigned.
• Call requirements include 3 weekday day shifts per month and 1 weekend call every 12 weeks.
• Travelers are expected to float first when needed.
• Charcoal grey scrubs required.
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space without a pass.
• Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required.
• Maximum of 10 RTO days per contract, with no RTO allowed during initial weeks of assignment.
• Permanent address must be greater than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for the position.
• Returning staff must have a 366-day separation from prior facility employment before accepting a travel assignment.
• PRN employees may not accept travel assignments while actively employed PRN.
