Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for an evening shift assignment. The ideal candidate has at least one year of MRI experience, ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification, and BLS from AHA.

Florida licensure is required if X-ray duties are performed, with a clean AHCA Level 2 background check and adult patient care experience. The role includes imaging Abdomen/Pelvis, Chest, Head/Neck, and Spine with various MRI sequences.

Qualifications

• BLS certification from AHA is required.
• Active Florida Radiologic Technologist license if performing X-ray duties alongside MRI.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI imaging procedures across multiple body systems in hospital settings.
• Support inpatient and outpatient MRI services with emphasis on adult patients.
• Operate Siemens MRI and related imaging equipment; familiarity with other brands preferred.
• Utilize Epic EMR for imaging orders and documentation.
• Adhere to isolation precautions and maintain patient safety throughout procedures.

• Active Florida Radiologic Technologist license required if performing X-Ray duties in addition to MRI
• License required if applicable
• Must successfully complete a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks
• Adult patient care experience required

Responsibilities

• MRI Tech role supporting inpatient and outpatient settings
• Adult patient population
• Evening shift, 5x8 hours, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
• Hurricane sign-up required but not guaranteed
• Experience with Siemens equipment required; GE, Hitachi, Philips, or Toshiba experience preferred
• Performs imaging of Abdomen/Pelvis, Chest, Head/Neck, Spine/Musculoskeletal, and other body areas
• Breast and Cardiovascular imaging experience preferred
• Experience with Diffusion (non-brain), Perfusion, Gradient Echo Imaging, Image Post-Processing, Multiplanar Reconstruction, Spin Echo Images, Surface Coils, and T-1/T-2 Weighted Images required
• Maximum Intensity Projection experience preferred
• Isolation precautions experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• X-Ray skills are a plus but not required
• Perform MRI imaging procedures across multiple body systems in a hospital setting
• Smoke-free facility
• Proof of vaccination status required, with no declinations accepted
• Locals within 60 miles considered at a lower bill rate
• First-time travelers may be considered
