Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Harrisburg, PA. The position features a 12-hour days schedule (12x3) with 36 hours per week and a travel employment type.

The successful candidate will independently perform imaging procedures, maintain MR safety, and review orders to ensure accurate and efficient exams. ARRT ARMRIT ARDMS CNMT are among required certifications, plus BLS and state licensure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology, or completion of an accredited CNMT, ARMRIT, or ARDMS program with MR registry.
• MR registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was obtained or date of hire if already possessed.
• Two years of experience in a similar role is required.
• Current licensure or certifications: ARRT Certificate, ARMRIT, NMTC, or ARDMS.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Compliance with Pennsylvania Acts 31, 33, 34, and 73.

Responsibilities

• Maintains MR safety in the department and clinical competency for all exams and equipment.
• Prepares for exams by reviewing and presenting relevant information to the physician per protocol.
• Verifies patient identity with two identifiers and follows universal procedures during procedures.
• Reviews history and orders, applying departmental protocols for optimal results.
• Documents patient history in electronic records and codes exams accurately.
• Communicates clearly to help ease patient anxiety and ensure cooperation.
• Ensures exams are properly coded, tracked, and archived.
