Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist for a 26-week travel assignment in Portland, ME. You will operate MRI scanners, work with patients, and follow safety protocols in a hospital setting.

Requirements include completion of an accredited Radiology program with MRI focus, 1 year MRI experience, state licensure, and BLS certification. Preferred ARRT/ARMRIT certs and additional licenses may apply.

Qualifications

• Completion of radiology program with MRI specialization.
• One year MRI experience.
• Valid Radiology/MRI license per state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Screen patients for MRI safety and contraindications before procedures.
• Educate patients on MRI procedures and address questions.
• Maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot MRI equipment.
• Start IVs and administer contrast per orders and protocol.
• Monitor image quality and adjust scanning parameters.
• Document procedure details and imaging parameters in hospital systems.
• Collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate results.
• Maintain a clean workspace and follow infection control policies.
• Follow radiation safety and hospital safety rules.
• Perform other duties within MRI technologist scope.
