Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Somerset, Kentucky. The role requires 40 hours per week, night shifts, and a travel-friendly candidate who can start immediately.

The MRI Tech will operate MRI equipment, prepare patients, ensure safety, and collaborate with radiologists to deliver high-quality images. 1 year of experience and ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification with BLS are required, plus state licensure as needed.

Qualifications

• 1 year of MRI experience
• BLS, ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT registration with MRI
• State licensing as required

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and explain procedures to patients
• Screen patients for MRI safety before procedures
• Interpret doctors' instructions and position patients accordingly
• Operate MRI equipment and ensure image quality
• Assist radiologist during procedures
• Administer contrast media and start IVs as directed
• Maintain accurate patient records and work within safety guidelines
• Use McKesson PACS to manage imaging data
