Job summary

Focus Staff is seeking a licensed MRI Technologist for a travel assignment in Austell, GA. The role is a contract/temporary position for 13 weeks with 36 hours per week scheduled as 3x12 hour days. Start date is 11/16/2026, and pay is location- and experience-based.

The ideal candidate must have two years of MRI experience, be fully proficient in MRI duties, possess an active license in the state, and hold BLS certification. Strong communication and patient-safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of MRI experience as an MRI Technologist.
• Licensed in required state.
• BLS
• Proficient in MRI and protocols for complex procedures.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Two years of hospital experience; EP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment to produce cross-sectional diagnostic images.
• Work under the Chief of Radiology and Imaging Services Director with independent judgment to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Perform patient studies per protocol, including coil placement.
• Operate imaging equipment and input scan sequences in the computer; adjust transmitters/receivers.
• Explain MRI procedures to patients and address concerns with tact.
• Ensure patient and staff safety by following safety protocols.
• Oriente new hires and train MRI Technologists, students, trainees.
