Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment in a hospital imaging department. The position requires 2+ years of MRI experience across acute and outpatient settings, with BLS and ARRT-MR/ARMRIT certifications.

State licensure may be required; IV starts experience is preferred. The role involves a single MRI room, adult and older pediatric patients, a variety of case types, and no on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years MRI experience in acute and outpatient settings.
• BLS certification required.
• ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification required.
• State license required if applicable (where required).
• Experience with IV starts.

Responsibilities

• Operate a single MRI room within the imaging department.
• Scan adult and older pediatric patients (10+ years) across outpatient, inpatient, ED, ICU, MedSurg.
• Cover neuro, soft tissue, head/neck/spine, hips, oncology, joints, abdominal, breast, prostate, and some angiograms.
• No vented, monitored, cardiac, sedation, or pacemaker patients.
• Average 12–16 patients per day.
• Utilize Cerner EMR and Agfa PACS for workflow.
• Support staff: lead technologists, manager, rapid response, hospitalists 24/7.
• On-site radiologist Wednesday and Thursday with after-hours coverage.
