**Details**

+ $2,322-$3,216 Weekly Rate

+ Department: Associate Travel Program - MRI Tech

+ Schedule: Multiple shifts available, 40 hours per week

+ Hospital: Multiple Ascension acute care hospitals

+ Location: Local and national travel options are available depending on need.

This position is a permanent, full-time role consisting of 8-13 week travel assignments. It is not a short-term or temporary contract. Rates vary by location and specialty.

**Responsibilities**

  1. Operate a scanner to obtain diagnostic images for pathology assessment and treatment.
  2. Prepare and position patients, selecting appropriate anatomical and technical parameters to produce cross-sectional images.
  3. Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to examinations.
  4. Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media, and develop films in an automatic processor.
  5. Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
  6. Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS, including correct lead markers and patient data/history.
  7. Maintain equipment functionality, report issues or malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized department, including procedure rooms, storage, dressing rooms, and film storage areas.

**Requirements**

Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire or transfer (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
  • One or more of the following credentials obtained prior to hire or transfer:
    • Cardiographic Tech (from CCI)
    • Nuclear Medical Tech (from NMTCB)
    • Radiologic Technologist specializing in MRI (from ARRT)
    • Medical Sonographer (from ARDMS)
    • MR Technologist (from ARMRIT)
Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience, OR
  • Associate's or Technical degree, OR
  • 4 years of applicable experience.

**Additional Preferences**

  • Recent (within 1 year) MRI Tech experience required.
  • Travel options available; candidates over 50 miles from site may be stipend-eligible. Contact Recruitment for details.
