Job summary

Merric Millwork and Seating is seeking a Site Superintendent to lead on-site execution of millwork and interior finish installation. This field-heavy role requires coordinating installation crews, managing material flow, and ensuring quality and schedule compliance while traveling up to 90% of the year.

You will be the primary link between the jobsite and the manufacturing plant, providing clear direction, real-time feedback, and proactive problem solving to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Strong reading of shop drawings, field dimensions, and installation sequencing.
• Proven experience supervising crews in active construction environments.
• Ability to read construction documents and coordinate with multiple trades.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• High level of accountability, organization, and attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel up to 90% nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate on-site installation crews and subcontracted labor.
• Establish daily and weekly work plans to meet project schedules.
• Maintain jobsite discipline, professionalism, and productivity.
• Coordinate material delivery, staging, and access within the jobsite.
• Ensure installation meets approved drawings, specs, and quality standards.
• Identify fit/finish issues in the field and document with photos.
• Provide real-time feedback to plant and project management teams.
• Coordinate installation with other trades and the general contractor.
• Track progress against schedule and report delays or risks early.
• Assist PMs with look-ahead planning and milestone tracking.
• Enforce safety rules and participate in site safety meetings.
• Provide daily progress updates and photo documentation.
• Assist with punch lists and close-out activities.
