Superintendent - Millwork Installation

Lead field operations. Build exceptional spaces. Elevate craftsmanship.

Are you a hands-on leader who thrives on bringing high-quality millwork installations to life on active construction sites? Do you take pride in coordinating crews, solving problems in real time, and ensuring that every detail meets the highest standards? If so, we want you on our team.

We're looking for a Traveling Superintendent who will be the driving force behind day-to-day field operations—someone who ensures safety, elevates quality, and keeps projects moving forward with precision and professionalism. In this role, you'll be the face of our company on project sites across the region, leading installation crews, partnering with general contractors, and keeping our projects running smoothly from mobilization through final closeout.

What You’ll Do

Lead Field Execution

  • Supervise millwork installation crews and subcontractors on active job sites
  • Coordinate daily activities for safe, timely, high-quality work
  • Interpret and enforce construction documents, shop drawings, and specifications
  • Track schedules and help keep project sequencing on target
  • Solve field issues before they become delays or rework

Drive Quality & Safety

  • Perform routine quality inspections and ensure workmanship meets AWI, ADA, and project standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, professional job site environment
  • Promote and enforce OSHA and company safety policies
  • Act as on-site safety coordinator, leading safety briefings and ensuring full compliance

Coordinate & Communicate

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between field teams, project managers, and general contractors
  • Participate in job site meetings and deliver progress updates
  • Manage documentation including daily reports, punch lists, and delivery logs
  • Support material handling and coordinate deliveries for efficient workflow

Support Project Closeout

  • Lead pre-punch and final punch list efforts
  • Coordinate corrections and final closeout activities with crews and subcontractors
  • Assist in project turnover with clients and GCs
  • Report progress, field changes, and labor tracking to office teams
What You Bring
  • Proven experience leading crews and coordinating subcontractors on commercial construction projects
  • Strong understanding of millwork fabrication, installation practices, and sequencing
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and millwork shop drawings
  • Sharp problem-solving skills and adaptability in changing field conditions
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities with a collaborative mindset
  • Experience with construction technology tools (Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail and organized approach to site management
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's in Construction Management, Carpentry, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in millwork, carpentry, or finish trades
  • Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or superintendent role
  • OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a DOT medical card if operating company vehicles
  • Must be willing to travel
