Job summary

McClatchy Media Company in Franklin, TN is seeking a part-time Merchandiser to service products across multiple stores and travel frequently to cover the territory. The position is on-site and pays a competitive wage of $17 per hour, with travel time compensated.

Qualifications

• General merchandising experience preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to multitask and detail-oriented.
• Conduct self in a professional manner.
• Adherence to the company’s attendance policy.
• Reliable transportation for travel.
• Able to use Movista and/or other company-required applications.
• Have personal cell phone and mobile device, such as a tablet.
• Proficient with Word, the internet, and email applications.

Responsibilities

• Merchandise products in a retail environment following store and corporate standards.
• Safely replenish product and may assemble shelves/racks and display cases per guidelines.
• Service all assigned stores on schedule; obtain approval before extra hours.
• Record work hours and other information using designated applications.
• Discuss duties with Supervisor before performing those duties.
• Work stores as scheduled.
• Handle all product correctly, including returns.
• Follow planograms (POGs) and flowcharts.
• Maintain regular communication with Supervisor.
• Develop relationships with store personnel.
