Job summary

Acosta Group in Meriden, CT seeks a Merchandiser Travel Retail Service to execute reset and remodel tasks, read planograms, place items, restock, and maintain planogram integrity. You will work with store staff to ensure merchandising excellence and follow safety guidelines.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, at least 1 year reading planograms, strong organizational and communication skills, and comfort with smartphones and handheld devices. Travel up to 75–100% is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• At least 1-year experience reading & using planograms. Retail and reset responsibility experience preferred
• Possess excellent organizational skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to build relationships with business partners
• Comfortable utilizing Technology (i.e., smartphones, computers, copier/fax, and handheld devices)
• Core competencies: Quality Commitment, Detail Oriented, Customer Service, Communication Skills
• Ability to use web-based applications to indicate work availability, check work assignments, accept work assignments, receive work documentation and information, record times and attendance, and complete training activities
• Must be willing and able to work in cold environmental conditions (refrigerated and freezer sections)
• Must possess strong interpersonal, organizational, decision-making, and leadership skills; read and communicate effectively with others
• Travel requires age 21+ for credentials; travel up to 75–100% and occasional weekends

Responsibilities

• Read and follow a plan-o-gram to complete reset and remodel work; knowledge of merchandising terms
• Move and clean shelves, install racks, display merchandise, place strips, attach tags, check date codes
• Partner with store personnel to achieve merchandising excellence and build relationships
• Prepare, submit, and manage documentation related to reset and remodel work
• Follow safety procedures and alert management to unsafe conditions
• Follow Acosta policies and standard operating procedures
• Other duties as assigned.
