Job summary

McClatchy Media Company is seeking a Part-Time Merchandiser to service product in multiple stores around the Miami area. This on-site role requires travel between accounts with a schedule set for assigned weekdays.

The ideal candidate has merchandising experience, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a retail environment. Travel requirements up to 100% and a competitive wage of $15 per hour apply.

Qualifications

• General merchandising experience preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to multitask and detail-oriented.
• Conduct self in a professional manner.
• Adherence to attendance policy.
• Reliable transportation for travel.
• Able to use Movista and/or other company-required applications.
• Have personal cell phone and mobile device, such as a tablet.
• Proficient with Word, the internet, and email applications.

Responsibilities

• Work within a retail environment to effectively merchandise products by applying store and corporate standards.
• Safely and efficiently replenish product and may assemble shelves/racks and display cases following measurement guidelines.
• Service all stores as scheduled within the allotted hours; seek approval before working outside scheduled hours.
• Accurately record work hours and other company-related information using designated applications.
• Discuss duties requested by store personnel with Supervisor before performing those duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Handle all product correctly, including returns.
• Follow planograms (POGs), flowcharts, etc.
• Maintain regular communication with Supervisor.
• Develop relationships with store personnel.
