Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician for a 13-week travel assignment in Madison, WI. The MLT will perform routine tests across multiple diagnostic areas, handle specimens with care, and maintain quality control.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving in a clinical lab setting.
• Strong interpersonal communication to coordinate with healthcare teams.
• Excellent reading/writing in English for test orders and results.
• Proficiency with common PC software and lab information systems.
• Ability to work well in a team and adapt to travel assignments.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine diagnostic laboratory tests across chemistry, hematology, immunology, and related areas.
• Prepare and process specimens with proper labeling and handling.
• Ensure accuracy of results via quality control protocols and SOPs.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments; troubleshoot as needed.
• Document results, calibrations, and quality control measures clearly.
• Assist with inventory, reagent prep, and stocking lab supplies.
• Communicate results professionally to healthcare colleagues.
• Follow safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
