Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a Travel Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) - Generalist for a 13-week assignment in Petoskey, MI. You will perform routine tests across chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and immunology, and support specimen processing to ensure timely results.

Qualifications

One year of recent experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician
Valid license where required by state regulations
National certification through ASCP or equivalent is preferred
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) is preferred
Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position

Responsibilities

Perform routine diagnostic laboratory tests in chemistry, hematology, and immunology
Prepare and process specimens with accurate labeling and handling
Ensure accuracy of test results by following quality control protocols
Follow SOPs and regulatory guidelines (AABB, CAP, FDA, CLIA)
Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and troubleshoot issues as needed
Communicate test results clearly to healthcare professionals
Maintain detailed records of test results, calibrations, and QC measures
Assist with inventory management and stocking of lab supplies
