Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Travel Nurse RN for Medical/Surgical and Telemetry in Tyler, Texas. The right candidate will have 1-2 years of acute care experience and valid BLS/NIH certifications, with additional credentials as needed.

The assignment features 12-hour shifts (36 hours per week, subject to confirmation) and a tax-free stipend. TotalMed RN explains pay packages and supports ongoing education, with benefits starting from day one.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of acute care experience required.
• BLS and NIH certifications required; additional certifications may be needed before starting.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for Med Surg patients (pre- and post-op).
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients and families; participate in discharge planning and education.
