Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Med Surg/Tele RN for a 13-week assignment in Springfield, Oregon. The role involves delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in medical-surgical and telemetry units, assessing conditions, monitoring telemetry data, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of Med Surg/Tele experience, an active RN license, and BLS. NIHSS or ACLS certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Med Surg/Tele RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families, addressing concerns.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing standards.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document changes for care planning.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures and assist physicians during treatments.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients post-procedure.
• Document patient information in the medical record with accuracy.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers to create care plans.
• Prioritize care for multiple patients based on acuity and clinical need.
• Ensure strict infection control practices including hand hygiene and PPE use.
• Advocate for patient needs and preferences within the care plan.
• Coordinate discharge planning with patients and families for a smooth transition.
