Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a 13-week assignment in Springfield, MA. The role covers med-surg and telemetry, with 36 hours per week on day shifts, offering competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

As a member of our travel team, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care, assess conditions, document findings, and collaborate with the care team. Valid RN license, 1 year Med Surg/TeleRN, and BLS required; NIHSS/ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Med Surg/Telemetry RN experience.
• Valid RN license in current state regulations.
• Current BLS certification.
• NIHSS certification (preferred).
• ACLS certification (preferred).
• Other certifications and licenses may be required.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families, addressing concerns and ensuring understanding.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in adherence to nursing standards.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ conditions, documenting changes and reporting concerns.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures and monitor responses.
• Coordinate discharge planning and ensure smooth transition from hospital to home.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans.
