Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift hospital assignment in South Carolina. You must have an active SC or compact RN license and at least 2 years of MS/Tele experience, with 3 years for first-time travelers.

BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required, plus 1 year Epic EMR exposure. Duty includes floating, 1:6 patient ratio, and Omnicell/EPIC documentation. The role involves 7:00 PM–7:30 AM shifts, every other weekend, and orientation with ongoing compliance training.

Qualifications

Active SC or compact RN license required.
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
Minimum 2 years MS/Tele experience (3 years for first-time travelers).
Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required.
Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, port access/management, blood product administration, and PICC/peripheral line care.
Respiratory care skills including BiPAP/CPAP, oxygen administration, tracheostomy care, and oral suctioning.
GI and GU care skills including colostomy/ileostomy management and feeding tube care.
Experience administering heparin, insulin, and PCA medications.
Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use required.

Responsibilities

Med/Surg unit caring for medical-surgical and telemetry patients.
Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:30 AM).
Every other weekend coverage required, subject to change based on unit need.
Floating required to other units and campuses based on census needs, limited to competencies already demonstrated.
Patient ratio of 1:6.
Uses Omnicell medication system and Epic for documentation.
Must be able to pass an EKG exam and complete core competency modules due to floating possibilities.
Provide direct patient care within a Med/Surg unit with telemetry monitoring responsibilities.
Complete pre-assignment testing and required modules within 48 hours of receiving login credentials.
Orientation held every Monday, with annual compliance training required.
First-time travelers may be considered based on experience level.
Must reside more than 100 miles from any Prisma Health facility to be eligible, with limited exceptions for night shift specialties requiring at least 50 miles from the contracted campus.
Wound care and wound vac experience preferred.
Community hospital experience preferred.
