Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Med/Surg-Tele RN for a 21-bed general medical observation unit (4 West) in Illinois. The role requires 2 years of specialty experience, active IL RN license, and BLS/ACLS certification.

You will manage COPD, pneumonia, infections, and UTIs while handling Bi-Pap and high-flow O2 therapy on 12-hour night shifts. Applicants must have a verifiable address 50 miles away from the facility, no local candidates, and be prepared for occasional float.

Qualifications

• IL RN license active and in good standing.
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA).
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg/Tele nursing experience.
• Two professional references (1–2 years) required.

Responsibilities

• Care for 21-bed general medical observation unit (4 West).
• Care for COPD, pneumonia, infections, and UTI patients.
• Manage Bi-Pap and high-flow oxygen therapy.
• Night shift: 12-hour shifts; every other weekend.
• Floating to similar units within scope may be required.
• Cerner EMR documentation required.
• RTO must be submitted with profile; address must be 50 miles away; local candidates not accepted.
• No on-call requirements.
