Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse for a nights shift in Lewiston, ME. The role requires supervision of Med Surg staff, direct patient care, and coordination with physicians to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The assignment length is 12 weeks with weekly pay and a $3/hour differential on top of base pay. All qualifications must be valid and current upon hire.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License required.
• BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained.
• PALS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained.
• Minimum one year of charge nurse experience in Med Surg setting required.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Director with daily department operations, staffing, and workflow management.
• Supervises, directs, and evaluates team members.
• Ensures effective use of personnel, equipment, and resources.
• Maintains efficient department operations and patient care standards.
• Provides direct patient care as needed within scope of practice.
• Monitors patient care plans and directs necessary adjustments.
• Collaborates with physicians and staff to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Supports a safe, high-quality, patient-centered care environment.
• Oversees staff performance and unit operations during assigned shift.
