Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Kennewick, Washington. The assignment is 13 weeks long with 36 hours per week, primarily night shifts, and travel employment.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of acute care experience and BLS; additional certifications may be required before starting. Responsibilities include bedside care, charting, and patient/family education in a fast-paced Med/Surg setting.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience required
• BLS certification required
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and prioritize data collection per patient needs
• Document findings and provide patient/family education and support
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions
• Assist with pre/post-op care and discharge planning
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during examinations and treatments
