Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a Travel RN for Med Surg in Paducah, KY for a 13-week assignment. The role offers 36 hours per week, nights, and the chance to impact patient care while working with a dedicated clinical team.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Med Surg RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.
• NIHSS certification (preferred).
• ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification (preferred).
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families, addressing concerns and ensuring understanding.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in adherence to nursing standards.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ conditions, documenting changes and reporting concerns.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures and assist during treatments.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
• Document patient information in the medical record.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create care plans.
• Manage multiple patients and prioritize care by acuity.
• Ensure infection control practices and PPE use.
• Advocate for patients’ needs and participate in discharge planning.
