Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Independence, Missouri. This 13‑week contract offers a 36-hour week, with 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.

Candidates must hold an active MO or Compact RN license and have at least 1 year of Med/Surg or Orthopedic experience. AHA/ARC BLS is required, with travel pay and comprehensive benefits included. Per diems, licensure reimbursement, and other travel bonuses are available to eligible travelers.

Qualifications

• Active MO or Compact RN license required.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent MedSurg or Ortho RN experience required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS certification required.
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months.
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Work in the MedSurg/Ortho unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
• Contract assignment duration is 13 weeks
• Provide care to a diverse population of medical-surgical and orthopedic patients
• Must submit copies of certifications, active RN license verification, and professional references for consideration
