Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a night shift travel assignment in the United States. Requires AR or compact RN license and 1-2 years of recent acute care experience. Night shift runs 6:30 PM–6:30 AM with every other weekend at minimum.

Responsibilities include inpatient Med/Surg care in a 170-bed facility, adult/geriatric patients, and use of Meditech EHR. Benefits include housing allowance and travel/licensure reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (AR state license or compact) required.
• CPR certification required.
• AHA certifications required.
• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience required.
• Current state licensure required at time of consideration.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient Med/Surg unit in a 170-bed acute care facility.
• Adult and geriatric patient population with general medical-surgical diagnoses and treatments.
• Patient ratios of 6-7:1.
• Uses Meditech EHR.
• Night shift schedule from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM.
• Every other weekend required at minimum.
• Floating required to all med/surg floors.
• Occasional low census call requirements, no more than once per month.
• Assess, plan, delegate, and coordinate nursing care for assigned patients during each shift.
• Supervise and assign duties to LPNs, Nursing Assistants, and Unit Clerks.
