Job summary

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel RN for Med Surg in the Birmingham, Alabama area. The role involves night shifts (12-hour) with a minimum 36 hours per week, on a 13-week assignment in a 24-bed general medicine unit. Must have a valid RN license, BLS, NIHSS, and 2+ years in acute care with BCMA experience.

Nurse-to-patient ratios are approximately 1:6; navy scrubs and CMS guidelines apply. This travel position includes housing support, health insurance, and travel reimbursement as part of

Qualifications

• Valid nursing license
• BLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• At least 2 years of acute care experience
• Proficient in interdisciplinary communication
• Experience with Basic Medication Administration (BCMA)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care on a medical-surgical floor.
• Work night shifts to meet patient needs and support the clinical team.
• Coordinate with physicians and staff to ensure safe patient care.
• Document care and coordinate with the care team per EMR workflows.
