TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Float Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Florence, Alabama. The Med/Surg RN will perform patient assessments, document findings, administer medications and educate families in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Requirements include BLS and 5 years of healthcare experience. The position is a 13-week travel assignment, 36 hours per week, with 12-hour night shifts and travel employment.

Formación

• Active RN license in Alabama
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 5 years of healthcare experience

Responsabilidades

• Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate needs
• Perform ongoing assessments and treatments as ordered by physician
• Document findings and educate families and patients
• Provide bedside care for pre- and post-operative patients
• Administer prescribed medications and report adverse reactions
• Assist with dressing changes, catheter insertions and starting IVs
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during examinations
• Educate patients on procedures and discharge planning
