Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Springfield, Illinois. The position is a 13-week travel assignment with 36 hours per week, consisting of 12-hour night shifts in Med/Surg.

Active RN license and BLS required; prior Med‑Surg acute care experience is needed. The agency provides credentialing support, private housing or housing allowance, health and life insurance, travel reimbursement, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Active RN License
• Degree from accredited nursing program
• BLS Certifications
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Med/Surg setting
• Other requirements to be determined by client facility

Responsibilities

• Complete assignments made by physicians.
• Provide routine treatment and post-surgical care.
• Assess changes in patient\'s health status and perform various treatments.
• Administer medication.
• Meticulous documentation as to medication and treatment administration to ensure continuity of care between nursing staff, physicians and other treatment team members.
