TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Augusta, Georgia. The role is a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week on a night shift. This travel position requires an RN with 1–2 years of acute care experience and BLS.

Responsibilities include bedside care, medication administration, wound care, IVs, patient education, and discharge planning. Benefits include weekly pay and guaranteed hours as part of a travel program.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
• BLS certification required.
• Additional certifications may be required before starting an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op.
• Administer and record prescribed medications, report adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during examination and treatment.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and care.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education.
