Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Minot, North Dakota. The role requires 1-2 years of acute care experience and a 12-hour night shift with a 48-hour work week, as part of a travel assignment.

The Med/Surg RN will perform patient assessments, document findings, and provide education to patients and families, while supporting discharge planning and care coordination with the physician team.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience required.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required before starting.
• RN licensure or equivalent required to practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of Med/Surg patients.
• Administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Perform dressings changes, insert catheters and start IV lines.
• Assist physician during examinations and treatments; prepare equipment.
• Educate patients and families; participate in discharge planning.
