Job summary

TotalMed RN seeks a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a 13-week travel assignment in Dickson, TN. The shift is 12 hours, nights, with 36 hours per week and travel status. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of acute-care experience and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of Med Surg patients, including pre- and post-op cases.
• Administer prescribed medications and record administration; report adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs as needed.
• Prepare, assist and document procedures; aid physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients and families; participate in discharge planning and education plans.
