Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in a Level I Trauma hospital in Memphis, TN. Requires TN or compact license, 2+ years Med/Surg experience, and prior travel work experience.

12-hour day shifts (7:00–19:00), 36 hours per week, travel benefits include medical/dental/vision, per diem, licensure reimbursement, and a strong support network for travelers.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in TN or compact state with no pending licensure
• Minimum of 2 years Med/Surg nursing experience in a large hospital
• Prior Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Previous travel assignment experience required; first-time travelers not considered
• Must live more than 100 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Work in a large hospital's Med/Surg unit with a team nursing approach
• Patient ratio typically 1:6 to 1:7
• Level I Trauma Center environment with short-term acute care
• Day shifts 7:00 to 19:00 (3x12 hours)
• Schedule may require weekends and on-call shifts
• Floating between units and campuses within 20 miles
• Provide care to a diverse Med/Surg patient population in a fast-paced trauma setting
• Team nursing model fosters collaboration with RNs and support staff
• Travelers may work up to two major holidays if assignment overlaps
• No block schedules, though weekend block may be considered
