Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in Memphis, Tennessee, in a Level I Trauma acute care setting. Requires at least two years of Med/Surg experience and prior travel assignments. Start 01/12/2026 for 13 weeks with 4x12 hour days.

Shift: days, 12 hours; travel benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k), housing stipends, and per diem options. Cerner EMR experience preferred and willingness to work holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Active Tennessee or compact RN license required.
• Minimum of 2 years Med/Surg experience in a large hospital.
• At least one completed travel assignment previously.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Medical Surgical unit within a large hospital and Level I Trauma Center.
• Provide care to adult patients with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6-7 using a team nursing model.
• Day shift schedule with 4x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00.
• On-call and weekend coverage required as needed.
• Nurses may be floated between similar units or campuses within 20 miles; floating between campuses is rare.
