Cross Country Nurses is seeking a Travel Nurse RN for a Med Surg assignment in Springfield, Illinois. The role requires 2+ years in medical-surgical nursing, BLS, an active IL RN license, and experience with Cerner charting.

The position offers travel benefits and a 13-week assignment on nights, with a 36-hour minimum per week in a Level I acute care setting, including kidney transplant and genitourinary/renal care.

Qualifications

• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Active Illinois RN license.
• Minimum 2 years experience in medical-surgical nursing, including telemetry, cardiovascular and emergency response skills.
• Experience with Cerner charting system.

Responsibilities

• Float to other Medical Surgical units within scope as required.
• Prepare for a 32-hour orientation and mandatory virtual orientation on day 1.
• Arrive with licensure and complete required documents within one week of start date.
• Work every other weekend and manage unit census with patients typically around 23.
