Job summary

TotalMed RN in Cedar Rapids, IA seeks a travel MedSurg/Telemetry RN for a 13-week assignment. The role requires 1–2 years of acute care, ACLS/BLS, and the ability to work 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift.

As a MedSurg Travel RN, you will assess patients, document findings, and provide education to families. The position offers travel benefits and a tax-free stipend potential.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Iowa or eligibility.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Travel nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
• Administer and record prescribed medications and report adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and care.
• Contribute to discharge planning and patient education plans.
