Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a Med Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Seymour, IN. The nurse will provide expert med-surg and telemetry care, collaborate with physicians and support staff, and contribute to patient safety and high-quality outcomes on a busy unit.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of Med Surg RN experience, an active RN license, and BLS certification. NIHSS/ ACLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Med Surg RN experience
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification
• NIHSS certification (preferred)
• ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments per nursing standards
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document changes
• Prepare patients for procedures and assist during treatments
• Monitor patients and ensure safety and infection control practices
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create care plans
• Manage multiple patients and prioritize care by acuity
