Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Med Surg RN delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in medical-surgical and telemetry units, with strong clinical skills and critical thinking required. Qualifications

• One year of recent Med Surg RN experience.
• Valid RN license compliant with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments per nursing standards.
• Assess patients, document changes, and report to the care team.
• Prepare patients for procedures and assist physicians.
• Maintain a safe environment and monitor patient recovery.
• Document vitals, medications, and care outcomes in the chart.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers on care plans.
• Prioritize care based on acuity and clinical needs.
• Ensure infection control and PPE use.
• Facilitate discharge planning and coordinate resources.
