Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Med Surg RN for a 17-week travel assignment in Appleton, Wisconsin. The role involves delivering high-quality, patient-centered care on medical-surgical and telemetry units with strong clinical skills and teamwork.

The position requires 1 year of Med Surg RN experience, an active RN license, and current BLS certification. We offer competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and support from a dedicated clinical team throughout the assignment.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Med Surg RN experience
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families, addressing concerns and ensuring understanding
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in adherence to nursing standards
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ conditions, documenting changes and reporting concerns to the care team
• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, assist physicians during treatments, and monitor patient responses
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients
• Document comprehensive patient information in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans
• Manage multiple patients, prioritizing care based on acuity
• Ensure infection control practices and PPE usage
• Advocate for patients’ needs and preferences in the care plan
• Facilitate discharge planning and coordinate with external resources
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols and regulatory standards
